Good afternoon Viking family!

This is Mr. Lewis with this week’s Cascades Elementary announcements.

This is promising to be a busy week at Cascades. We are excited to invite families into the building, looking forward to the end of the week in celebrating homecoming at Withington Stadium, and also hosting our first PTO meeting.

On Tuesday at 4 pm we need your support. Our PTO is meeting and your input and support is what it takes to make Cascades a special building. We need all hands on deck as we plan events for your students. If you have time, please come and lend your voice, intellect, and effort to the work of Cascades.

Wednesday we have two events happening. Our True Community savings program will start and our students will be running the program. On Wednesday evening from 4:30 to 5:30, we are inviting students and parents to our Floats and Families event. Families will be able to share in root beer floats and you will be able to help make your students Alien head gear that they will be able to wear in the Homecoming Parade.

That leads us to Friday’s parade. Cascades students will be walking in the homecoming Parade. The theme of the parade will be Space and our students will be wearing the Alien headbands that we will be making at Wednesday's Float and Families event. We will be meeting for the parade behind Walmart at 5:30 and the Parade will start at 6 pm. We will be walking to Jackson High School and families are invited to celebrate being a Viking and watching our football team get another victory.

We will be celebrating during the day on Friday when the Jackson High Football players visit the school to have a Cascades Pep Rally to celebrate homecoming. We are excited about our Viking Pride and looking forward to seeing you celebrate with us this week.

Remember our doors open at 8:18 and our students are released starting at 3:38. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and keep in mind that today like everyday is a great day to be a Viking.
